One thing to know first: BIR-registered forms

For official domestic use, BIR-registered businesses issue official receipts and invoices printed or generated under BIR registration. A PDF from any online generator doesn't replace those. Where a generated PDF shines is everywhere else: billing foreign clients, sending quotes, keeping clean records, and giving overseas customers a document their accounts team can actually process.

What to put on a Philippine invoice

• Your details — name or business name, address, and your TIN.
• Your client's details — name and address (and TIN for local business clients).
• Invoice number and date — sequential numbering, plus a due date.
• Line items — what you did, the quantity or hours, and the rate.
• VAT breakdown — if you're VAT-registered, show the 12% VAT as its own line.
• The total due and how you'd like to be paid.

• Design services: ₱20,000
• VAT (12%): +₱2,400
• Total: ₱22,400
