Free Invoice Generator for Singapore
By Harlequin Doyon
Singapore keeps invoicing simple: one GST rate, one business identifier, and clients who expect tidy paperwork. Speed Invoices matches that — build your invoice online, download the PDF, done. It's free, needs no signup, and your data stays in your browser.
Do you charge GST at all?
Only GST-registered businesses charge GST, and registration is threshold-based — so many freelancers, sole proprietors, and small companies invoice without it. If you're registered, GST goes on the invoice at 9% and shown clearly; if you're not, you simply leave it off. Don't add a GST line unless you're actually registered.
What a Singapore invoice includes
- Your details — business name, address, and your UEN (Unique Entity Number).
- Your client's details — company name and address, plus their UEN for local B2B.
- A sequential invoice number and the issue date, with a due date for payment terms.
- Line items — description, quantity, and unit price for each item.
- GST breakdown — for registered businesses, the 9% shown as its own line.
- The total payable in SGD (or the agreed currency).
GST at 9%, worked through
Say a GST-registered consultancy bills S$8,000 for an engagement:
- Consulting services: S$8,000
- GST (9%): +S$720
- Total: S$8,720
In Speed Invoices, set the currency to SGD, add a custom "GST 9%" tax line, and the subtotal, tax, and total calculate automatically. Your UEN sits in your business details so it prints on every invoice.
Regional and international billing
Singapore businesses routinely bill across the region — Australia, India, the US — often in the client's currency. With 46 currencies and 7 date formats, you can invoice an Australian client in AUD and an Indian client in INR from the same editor. See the Australia page for GST on their side, or India for how GST slabs work there.
The rest of the paperwork
Quotes before the job, receipts after payment, credit notes when something changes — the same free editor generates all of them, plus purchase orders. Add your logo, choose a PDF template, and keep numbering consistent across document types.
For retainer clients, Pro ($5/mo) adds recurring invoices, scheduled sends, payment reminders, and sending from your own domain. The editor and PDF download remain free forever.
